Cutting My Losses

I'm cutting my losses.
I'm running away.
I'm giving up on trying
to love you today.

I have tried so hard to love you.
My heart and soul I have bared.
But my love for you means nothing.
You destroyed what we shared.

You hurt me too much.
The pain stabs like a knife
My spirit is shattered.
I'm quitting this life.

I'm embracing the darkness.
As my soul withers and dies
I've lost the will to care
because of your lies.

My soul shrivels in pain.
My heart bleeds and is sore.
I'm giving up today.
I will love you no more.
