To shade
the dress
2. Grab the magic wand from the left tool menu. Click inside
the bodyl/dress to select the empty space.
4. Set your foreground color to #EAF1F8, and select the paint can tool. Flood Fill the selected area with this color. 5. In top menu, click on Selections > Float. 6. In top menu, click on Edit > 3D Effects > Cutout. Set the Shadow Color to #C7DAEB, verical & horizontal = 10, Opacity = 100, Blur =30. 7. In the top menu, click Edit > Noise > Add Noise Set Noise
to 5% & Uniform.
8. In top menu, click on Selections > None. 9. In top menu, click on Layers > Add New Raster Layer. We won't worry about naming this one. 10. In the Left tool menu, select the paint brush tool.
Set the tool options box to the same settings: shape = round, size
= 3, step =25, and Density-Opacity-Thickness = 100.
12. Set your foreground color = white, and draw in some highlights on the skirt, and wherever you think a highlight should be. 13. In top menu, choose Edit > Blur > Gaussian Blur. Set

To Shade the head 14. UNhide the head layer in the Layer Palette. 15. With the magic wand click inside the head shape. 16. In the top menu, click Selections > Modify > Expand > 1. 17. Set your foreground color to #FFDCC9, and with the paint can tool flood-fill the inside of the head. 18. In the top menu, click Selections > Float. 19. In the top menu, click Edit > 3D Effects
> Cutout. Apply these settings. Shadow Color = #EAC1AE
20. In top menu, click Edit > Noise > Add Noise. Set Noise= 5%, Uniform. 21. Save your progress. Save this as shaded angel. Now is a good time to take a coffee or soda break. But don't forget to come back! Now continue to color and shade the angel.
